Voice Input for Care Notes

How to do this in GrowScope

1. Open a plant's Today entry and find the observation note field.
2. Tap the voice-input button (Pro only) and speak your note.
3. Review the recognized text in the same editable field a typed note would use, and correct it if needed.
4. Save the note as usual.

Let a user dictate the observation note instead of typing it, using on-device browser speech recognition.

Spoken audio, processed entirely by the browser's built-in Speech Recognition API

Notes

• Speech recognition runs entirely in the browser via the Web Speech API — no audio or transcript is ever sent to GrowScope's server, and the server doesn't know whether a note was typed or dictated.
• This is only available on the observation note field in the Today plant flow, not on other note types.
• Language follows the app's current interface language (Russian, Spanish, or English) with no separate language picker.
