What GrowScope is

GrowScope is a web app (installable as a PWA, no app-store download needed) that replaces scattered notes, forum searches, and guesswork with one running record for each plant you grow. You sign up with just a username — no password, email, phone number, or real name — and start logging.

Underneath the plant-by-plant log sit a handful of real, working systems: a smart-watering recommendation clamped by a deterministic safety layer, a context-aware AI photo analysis, a physically modeled 3D light map calibrated to your own PPFD readings, and climate, feeding, and growth tracking that all read from the same plant history instead of living in separate apps.

GrowScope, specifically — not similarly named projects

This GrowScope, at growscope.uk, is an independent web app with no relation to the Home Assistant "GrowScope" plugin (a grow-room sensor/timelapse integration for smart-home setups), to "GrowScope, Inc." (a San Francisco agtech/analytics startup from around 2015), or to "Growscape" (a horticultural containers/pots brand — note the different spelling, with an a). None of them share a product, team, or company history with this one.

Who GrowScope is for

GrowScope fits growers who want more than a watering reminder, whatever they're growing:

• Home growers of houseplants, vegetables, or cannabis who are tired of getting four different answers from four different forum threads.
• Anyone currently tracking a grow in a paper notebook or a spreadsheet who wants the numbers connected — watering, feeding, light, and photos in one timeline instead of four.
• Growers who specifically don't want to hand over an email address or real name just to keep a grow log — sign-in is a username only, no password, payment is cryptocurrency only.
• Cannabis growers in particular, since trichome-based harvest timing, EC/pH monitoring, and PPFD/DLI light tracking are all things this audience already tracks by hand.

GrowScope vs simple plant reminder apps

A plant reminder app is honest about what it does: it reminds you to water on a schedule. That's genuinely enough if your only problem is forgetting — a houseplant on a windowsill with stable conditions doesn't need PPFD mapping or EC/pH tracking.

GrowScope is a stronger fit once schedule-based reminders stop being accurate — when a plant's water or feed needs actually change with its age, the season, or a light you moved — and when you want a photo-and-measurement record you can look back through, not just a checkbox that resets every few days.

GrowScope vs paper grow journals

A paper journal costs nothing and works without a phone. If you're keeping simple date-and-note entries for one or two plants, it can be all you need.

Privacy and data export

GrowScope doesn't ask for an email, phone number, or real name — signup is just a username, no password, and your account ID is a random number with no link to your identity. Payment is cryptocurrency (USDT) only, so there's no card or billing address on file either.

There's no Google Analytics or ad tracker running, and GrowScope never touches your device's GPS. Every photo, reading, and log entry can be exported or permanently erased whenever you want.
